Standing outside a snow globe looking in.
It finally feel into place. Almost a year after getting hired by the district I finally get a job at my alma mater. EastLake High. Other than the removal of some gorgeous trees, the lack of California burritos, and the addition of some portables everything feels the same. Eight years have pasted since I graduated in 2004, but I watch the young adults rush between classes and think I’m seeing the past versions of friends long gone. And most of them are LONG GONE. Many are married, some have kids, a select few have even moved across the Atlantic, but our bench is still there, worn and stained from years of nutrition breaks and lunches, and it will still be there years from now… Telling the stories of my years as a Titan.
